My Students

Our school is located in a highly diverse suburb of Missouri. I am proud to teach at a school that serves the needs of incredibly unique learners, many of whom are learning English.

Every child I work with loves learning, regardless of the challenges they face.

I incorporate a variety of learning strategies to meet the various needs of language learners. In the classroom, students engage in whole group, small group, one-on-one, and independent language learning activities. I am so fortunate to be able to provide a safe space for language learners to engage with content in a comprehensible and meaningful way.

My Project

Learning English can be fun and exciting! My students work so diligently to learn another language while also learning content. Imagine how challenging that can be! However, challenges can and should be fun.

I want my students to experience a lively way to practice their English skills in class.

Enjoyable learning experiences lead to better learning outcomes and meaningful learning outcomes are one of the many things I want for my amazing students.

I believe singing karaoke in class will continue to foster a comfortable, safe, and entertaining learning environment that lends itself well to becoming proficient in another language.
