Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love working in a dual language program. All of my students are bilingual or multilingual individuals. Many of my students come from Mexican, Guatemalan, and Salvadorian decent. All of my students are encouraged to love and value culture and language. Their desire to learn motivates me everyday to go to work and give them my all. I feel so blessed to be a part of their life and want to leave a positive impact with each of them. These kids are truly amazing!
My Project
We spend so much of our day focused on literacy. I try to promote reading as much as possible so that kids feel motivated to read. I want to create a welcoming reading corner in my classroom that’s accesible to my students. In addition to the reading corner, my students need a place to hold the books they choose to read. These materials will help my students have access to the books they are inclined to read. With 54+ students going through my classroom, it is so important to be organized. These materials will help motivate my students to read!
