Help me give my students construction paper to assist us with hands-on learning to practice our fine motor skills along with meeting the core standards!
Imagine living in a world where transitions were difficult for you. You had to share with others when you didn't want to share, and had a hard time with processing new information. These are some of the difficulties my students face on a daily basis. It is my job to assist my students in learning new tools to navigate through these difficulties, and giving them what they need for life-long success.
My students are inspiring, goal-driven, and unique!
The current students in my classroom are between the ages of 4-7 years old. The disabilities of my students include specific learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, and being on the Autism spectrum. Most of my students have delays in speech, sensory processing, social skills, and academics.
My Project
In my classroom, we do a lot of art projects that are connected to our learning. Art projects also assist my children with their fine motor skills - cutting and tearing - along with following multi-step directions. Throughout the year, we do step by step directed art, along with giving the students the genre and allowing them to create their own masterpieces.
Art helps connect the brain to the objective being taught.
Because of this, we use a lot of construction paper throughout the year. Your donation will assist my students in their art project through this school year. I thank you in advance for your support.
