This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This year, I have a homeroom filled with students ready and eager to learn. I have a great bunch of second-grade students who are ready to go.
My focus is on getting everyone organized and ready to learn every day when they walk into my classroom.
We have some challenges with supplies because of economic status, but we are going to forge on anyhow. We are Title I, but we aren't out of the game. With hard work and determination, we are going to be successful this year.
My Project
During this challenging times, my students need to have at least some resources to be able to continue progressing through this distant learning situation. Some of their parents lost their jobs or can't leave the house to go to work. I even worry about their families having enough food to feed their children.
If a child needs paper or pencil to complete work, and their parents are not able to buy it (due to a difficult financial situation) I have to do something to provide some relief for these families.
I want to supply some simple needs that my students have ti keep them going.
