My Students

The students in my classroom are sponges, just waiting to soak up more knowledge. They have a love for reading and desire to learn in new ways. They are also a product of today's busy life. They need intriguing ways to grasp their attention, with and without the use of technology.

My Project

Storyworks will be used to engage my students in the classroom during reading instruction. Since it is accompanied with digital access, my students will be able to electronically read the articles from home, during computer time, and during small group. Each magazine offers multiple skills that assist the teacher in covering topics that may be hard to teach.

Reading instruction needs to change with our world.

Scholastic Storyworks engages students and covers all ELA standards with accompanying materials for use in the classroom. The articles elevate student interest all while teaching important skills.

The magazine is user-friendly and uses language that students can relate to, and are actually interested in reading.
