Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my first year as a teacher, and I've got a sweet group of students who love helping anyone in need. The school I work at is an AVID school with a Daily 5 embedded ELA program. We have just implemented a push for building a caring school community to teach students to be empathetic and kind to one another. The school I work at is a mixture of lower-income families and middle class, but there is a lot of parent involvement.
These students deserve the world, and I want to get them some supplies to help their learning expand.
I want to instill responsibility and organization to them while encouraging them to be independent!
My Project
At our elementary school, we work at AVID learning. Whilst planning for the next year, I need to step it up with some book boxes! Students will use these book boxes to organize their Daily 5 work, writing journals, and anything else that they do not need to put in their desks. The ones that we currently have are already breaking, and we need to replace them.
These book boxes are durable and will work perfectly for what the students need them for.
We're already working towards organization, but we need your help to purchase these book boxes for next year's kiddos. The goal is to have these more durable boxes last longer and be there for all students who come into my room. Thank you!
