Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is for sensory supplies for the classroom. These supplies help the children regulate themselves for learning.
Children with autism have many sensory needs.
A lot of the children like to climb and walk on top of things. These stepping stones are made to walk on and test the children's balance. They would make a great addition to the classroom. We also have a lot of children who can not regulate their bodies on their own. The vibrating ball will be used to massage the children who need to sensory input to stay calm. We also need some fidgets for the classroom to help calm them, making learning easier, like pop tubes, a sequins turtle and light up wand. Sensory items really help the children focus and become receptive to learning.
