My Students

I teach a fully self-contained special education classroom with students who have severe cognitive disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome and require constant one-on-one instruction and support.

There are some amazing SPED resources (activities, worksheets, visual aids, etc) available for purchase on Teachers Pay Teachers that align perfectly with my students' individual learning needs.

I would greatly appreciate your support in helping me to purchase these resources for my students.

My Project

Teachers Pay Teachers offers lesson activities, worksheets, visual aids, etc. created by Special Education teachers and autism specialists. Many of these resources align perfectly with the academic needs in my students' Individual Education Plans. As a first-year fully self-contained special education teacher, I am constantly creating or searching for more resources and activities for my students. In a SPED classroom, content needs to be delivered in a very thoughtful and specific manner in order for curriculum to be understood and retained.

The resources available on Teachers Pay Teachers help me to do just that: present and practice foundational concepts with my students (counting, sentence building, phonological awareness, social and emotional skills, etc) in ways they find intuitive and engaging.
