My students with autism are eager to learn new skills. They learn best when given hands-on materials and repeated opportunities to practice the concepts I'm teaching.
Because my students are each at different levels in math and reading, my assistants and I need to make a lot of individualized materials.
In math, some students are working on learning numbers while others are adding money and working with elapsed time.
In reading, some students are learning letters while others can read a story and answer comprehension questions.
Laminating pouches will ensure that the materials we make can be used over time and with different students as they are ready for them.
Laminating materials will prevent us from having to print and cut out materials over and over again.
With laminating pouches, I'll be able to make our classroom materials able to withstand heavy use.
Laminating pouches will help us build our classroom library with adapted books while saving on paper and ink costs. Being able to laminate materials will help us build a bank of file folders in all content areas. These materials will help the students access curriculum while actively participating.
Laminating pouches will also allow us to preserve student communication visuals, visual behavior cue cards, and other lesson materials.
