My students need 4 copies of the book, Hungry Planet: What the World Eats for a project to enrich Geography skills.

I teach Geography and AP World History to 10th graders. We are a transient school with many second language learners and special education students. My classes are very different in terms of socio-economic levels and also on achievement levels.

My students are very interested in studying other cultures. They really want to know more about the world and this is a great project to grab their attention! The students can compare their homes to those around the world and enrich their geography skills.

I need the text, Hungry Planet to be the basis of this project. The students will be divided into 4 groups and they will alternate and examine the cultures. The students who are not examining the text will label the countries and do background research on the countries using library laptops.

Your help will ensure that geography will come alive. Your help will also ensure that geography is more accessible to minority and special education students.
