My Students

I have a classroom of very energetic and very inquisitive students. We do a lot of hands on inquiry into all aspects of our curriculum. Each days holds so much excitement for my students as they delve into each exciting topic.

Our classroom is a place of challenge and discovery, we incorporate fun in our daily routines as we explore the world around us.

As a teacher in a low-income/Title 1 school district, my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I try to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

The Learning alivetm Plus suite software program, which includes interactive games and activities to teach the necessary math concepts and early learning skills. This program increases engagement, and can be used in whole groups, centers or individual settings. The software includes: Reading Alive which uses letter cards and augmented realty to build on letter sounds, sight words and vocabulary; and Math ALive which builds on number awareness.

Early Learning Skills are taught using Augmented Realty which provides a 3D experience without glasses.

Technology, Science, Reading and Math are all integrated into this software program. Students lessons are taught within a theme and includes animals and ties in with science.
