Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our parents send their very best students to our school. They are creative, resilient, resourceful, full of life and energy. Our students are on track for being our world leaders, doctors and lawyers, merchants, laborers and purveyors of the arts. They represent our society to come, and every day is an honor to work with them.
MLMS students are energetic, eager to learn and express themselves through the multifaceted subject of drama.
They reveal their hidden talents and abilities daily.
My Project
My students need a wireless headset system so that their plays are more audible to the audience. While I do teach my students to project, our auditorium is large. This unit will be used both in the classroom and on stage. It will hook nicely into our stage PA system.
Students will learn to control their voices and deliver clear lines of mono/dialogue with and without amplification.
This set up will help students understand that there is significant coordination involved with any type of play production. It will help round off our theater experience on a minimal budget. Having a semi-professional system will help them build confidence and prepare them to perform in front of their peers.
The Rockville PA system and mixer is for the classroom. We plan on using it at very low volume, just enough to get the students used to using the wireless microphones without blowing out our neighboring educators. It is a very conservative system that I would classify as minimal and economic.
