Kindergarten is a place for students to wonder, think, imagine, and explore. My little peanuts are curious about the world and want to learn all about it in fun and engaging ways. They are excited to come to school each and every day.
My goal is to foster a lifetime love of learning within the first year of school.
I work hard to provide engaging activities and experiences for my class. To do this they need to explore, discover, collaborate, and solve problems.
My Project
Help me teach my students how to develop an attitude of gratitude at a young age. These 3-minute gratitude journals will be a great way to start each day on a positive foot. Kids enter the classroom in the morning with a lot of weight on their shoulders. Many have already experienced family trauma in their day.
Mindfulness helps us be thankful and focus on the big things, as well as the simple joys.
I hope to instill thankfulness and mindfulness in my students as they begin each day. These journals are a great starting point. They give students space to write three things they are thankful for, a person that brought you joy, and a space to record how your day went.
