I am in an intensive special education inclusion classroom with 21 students. They love to learn and come to school every day. I am a dual certified teacher working with students with different learning styles and needs. We love using Go Noodle and doing brain breaks. We are in a school that teaches students in grades K-5. Our school is a home to almost 900 students and over 100 staff members. I teach in a Title I school, where most students in my classroom come from low-income families.
My Project
The tools in my project will help make and keep my students engaged and on task during whole classroom assignments, as well as individual assignments. Having desk caddies will help students from getting distracted from surrounding students. Fidgets, including the velcro and magnets to make more fidgets, will help give students something to play with, while remaining focused.
Teaching to students who are unable to remain focused is pointless.
Some students need tools to help them remain focus to retain information and complete tasks. With your help, all materials will be able to be used and benefit all students in the classroom.
