My Students

Today, more is required of our students than ever before.

I have a classroom full of engergetic, thoughtful and inquiring young minds.

These students come to me in all sorts of ways. Many may be from economically challenged or broken homes. In spite of their academic hurdles, I love that every day is a new day for these students. We fill our days with learning to understand what we read, developing sound mathematical processes, and creating a community in which we can all thrive.

My Project

I love the mobility of Chromebooks. Students who can move around the classroom, even lie on the floor to work, are always more engaged.

Learning through technology based items is key to academic success and I want ALL my students to have the same opportunities.

I have over 50% of my students from economically challenged homes and they do not all have access to computers on a daily basis. The Samsung Chromebooks will enable all my students to work on their own individualized learning plans on sites such as Lexia, MobyMax and Spelling City. Additionally, all students will use these chrombooks for research in science, social studies and writing.
