My students come from all different backgrounds. Since I am the reading teacher for grades K-5, I get to see a variety of learning styles. Some of my students are visual learners, some are auditory learners, while others are kinesthetic learners! Being able to meet each of my students' needs is definitely a challenge, but that's what makes my job fun.
What I love most about my students is that they are kind.
I love coming to school every morning so I can see their sweet faces. All of my students work hard, love one another, and enjoy learning.
My Project
ATPE My students come to my room for reading interventions. While we are busy concentrating on reading fluency, comprehension, or vocabulary, I also want my students to be able to move! With our regular chairs, they are constantly trying to tip them on the back two legs causing my students to fall over. With these stools, they will be able to wiggle like they want, but not risk getting hurt.
Flexible seating is something that will help my kinesthetic learners be able to move while still learning.
Research shows that physical activity helps with academic improvement. I only use research based teaching materials in my room so that I know what I'm using will work. These stools will be a great addition to my room.
