This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
8th Grade Physical science is typically not a favorite among students. The scholars that I teach at Inman Middle School have found their niche in Chemistry and Physics and they are using their interests to drive their learning.
In my classroom, they know that hard work pays off always!
My 8th grade Hardworking, Creative and Inquisitive students work hard at setting and meeting their goals. My students are true scientist who work hard daily to be their very best. It is my goal this year to integrate career skills into each unit with the hope of inspiring my scholars to be their very best!
My Project
Understanding the trends of the periodic table is an essential step in comprehending how matter is arranged and what it is composed of. This unit is taught first, in an effort to allow scholars to be able to apply their knowledge about matter to force and motion and energy transformations.
The ability to move and manipulate across the periodic table, visualizing the trends and concepts of periods and group, allows for scholars to see the patterns created by scientists of long ago.
As scholars visualize these concepts they will be in charge of creating graphics and charts to solidify their learning.
