My Students
My 7th grade students love to learn about the World. Every class period we spend about five to ten minutes learning about this interesting planet we live on. Many in my classes have never been outside a three county area. They need to learn about this big World!
We explore every continent and discuss many countries, big or small.
We learn about countries, cities, physical landmarks and economic factors that affect us in Eastern North Carolina. Using a Student Atlas will help us learn about the World.
My Project
The National Geographic Student Atlas will help our students learn about the World. Everyday our students spend five minutes a day learning about a new place on Earth.
Hurricane Florence caused devastating damage to our area, and our Atlases were some of the casualties of the storm.
I would like to replace our current set (they are falling apart due to the humidity from weeks without power).
My students have struggled using my current set of Atlases, and a new set would make learning about the World a little easier. They really enjoy this part of our class, learning about strange and different places.
