This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our 4th Grade goal at my school is to develop globally aware, geographically sound students, global thinkers, and citizens prepared for a 21st Century world. With new and up to date atlases, our students can reach this goal.
Because we are Magnet school, students come to my school from all over the county.
This brings a wonderful look at life from all aspects. These students are eager to learn about their life in their hometown and the world. Parents place their children at our school to become lifelong learners. We have high academic expectations, and students rise to the occasion.
My Project
Students use atlases during classroom instruction and during IE time. (study hall). Our current sets of atlases are out of date. Students need current editions to see the world as it is. They will use atlases to find information and develop basic map reading skills.
Helping us reach this goal will make a difference in so many way.
Students will see the world as it is now, not years ago. Have a fresh and new look can help them understand how the world works. Also, this help prepare our students to become leaders in the 21st century.
