Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our athletes are part of the CC, Basketball, and Track programs. They are from a small town and love their sports! Our equipment is really old so we are very limited on how we can strengthen our athletes. We do not receive any money from the state so our local taxes pay for everything we have in the school. We make do with what we have but I would love for my athletes to have the advantages that some of the schools that have more money to put into the program.

My Project

The donations that we get are going to continue to help us get stronger, faster and more competitive in CC, Basketball, and Track. The student-athletes at WES are very deserving of support from all around. They are kids from a small town with big dreams. As Coaches, we are trying to get them to a point where they can compete with kids from bigger schools that have more resources than we do. Our school system does a great job of getting us the things we need but everyone knows that the funds just aren’t in the public school system so we depend on the kindness of people to help us.
