Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever wanted to become better at something, but did not have the equipment or tools to become better? I have student-athletes who want to practice and make themselves better, but are hindered due to the lack of footballs within our program. We now have the footballs but we need some bags
Predominantly, our students and our community are poor.
Consequently, our athletics programs are severely underfunded and we have a difficult time generating revenue from the community to fund our athletic endeavors. Our students are hardworking, deserving, and already participate in fundraisers that go towards purchasing new jerseys and trips to football camps. Our students are committed to rebuilding our program and making it competitive.
My Project
We are requesting 3 duffle storage bags for equipment and footballs. As a coach, I want to supply my student-athletes with proper equipment they need to become better. The most essential thing I can provide is enough quality footballs and a storage bag for them to practice with to enhance their skills. With enough footballs and storage I will be able to create practice times that involve ALL the athletes who want to participate
Many of my student-athletes could choose to do other things with their time after school.
Many of those options are unproductive choices. However, they have made a choice to become a football player and spend their afternoons being productive. Help me, make them better by providing them with the necessary equipment for our athletes.
