As my students transition to on-line learning, I want to provide them the tools to be successful. These students get math and language art assignments each week. The problem with remote learning is scaffolding the learning gaps some of my students have. These cards will help me scaffold to all students' education levels.
My class has a wide range of learning needs, and I have seen an increase in the number of students who struggle greatly with the ability to focus.
My combination kindergarten to eighth-grade classes in an ALE (Alternative Learning Environment) are from a lower-income area of our county. We collaborate with families who choose homeschooling as their primary means of education. Many of these students have not had any experience in a traditional classroom setting. My classroom is their positive experience in their educational journey. We focus on experiential learning and service as we strive to build community among the families who choose to be part of this program.
My Project
As we transition to distance learning, families need support at home with flashcards and markers. These items will be sent home with the families to support math and language arts. These will be be assigned based on students' academic progress. The Sharpie markers will be divided between all students for a science/art lesson unit.
These supplies will help facilitate distance learning for my students.
My students are bright students who need some support at home to end the year on a high note. This has been a disruption to the learning process, and your support will help the process improve.
