Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am blessed to be a kindergarten teacher at a diverse, inner-city school where all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are adorable, sweet, full of energy, eager to learn, and curious about their ever-expanding world! My kinder learners inspire me every day with their curiosity and excitement for school!
Kindergartners love to be active and thrive with hands-on learning opportunities!
Unfortunately, due to poverty, many of my students lack at-home learning materials. My goal is to change that!
My Project
As a kindergarten teacher, I know that my young students learn best when they are actively engaged in their learning! Unfortunately, many of my students do not have educational materials at home. It is amazing all of the educational skills that can be taught with crayons and paper!
These triangular crayons and art materials will help kindergartners learn the proper writing grip and develop their fine motor skills!
These materials will be sent home in learning kits for students to use during virtual learning and independent time. My students are always so excited when they get their new learning kits and having crayons and paper included will be such a happy surprise for them!
