Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I said goodbye to my students on the last day before Spring Break thinking I would see them in a week; however, that was not going to happen. Due to the pandemic, we will not be back in our classroom this year. All of my students receive free and reduced lunch and many of them do not have access to the internet and online activities for our district. It's hard to not be able to see them and hug them and give them the academic support they deserve. I hope that with these new items I will be able to provide that for them.
My Project
Right now, my students have to learn from home, and I would like to create activities such as math flashcards, reading games with sight-words and comprehension skills, and many fun easy activities for parents to do at home.
I would like to have some cardstock, laminating sheets, and Expo Markers to create these activities.
I also have several activities on my Teacher Pay Teacher account that I would love to use for these projects for my students. I feel even though I can't be in the classroom with my students it would be helpful to have these activities for my parents to do at home with their children so they can keep learning and practicing their skills.
