Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We participate in No Excuses University and our class is college-bound! Every morning we start our day with the Eagles chant. Our school is also heavily focused on the arts and is an Academy of Creative Expression.
My students are busily preparing for middle school and I want them to have everything they need to be successful.
They enjoy being positive role-models for the younger students on campus. Our school serves a very diverse population and the majority of the students are from low-income families. They always arrive eager to learn, full of curiosity, and with a desire to showcase their knowledge in new, creative ways.
My Project
My students are currently in hybrid learning which means they are learning from school and from home. They have many assignments to keep track of online and on paper.
I want to help them keep track of their assignments by color coding weekly hand outs and printing out vital information for them instead of reading everything online.
By providing this paper and ink, you will enable me to help my students become more organized and hopefully spend a little less time on their screens. The Astrobrights paper will be used to color code weekly assignments. The ink will be used to print out checklists and important documents like tests that will benefit the students to do on paper instead of online.
