My Students

Do you remember constantly asking your third grade teacher questions? How does the moon shine? Why can't we feel the earth spinning? Our third graders here at PE are just as curious. They love to do science and find the answers to those questions.

As a third grade teacher I want to give the the third graders every opportunity I can to find to have them find the answers to those questions.

I want them to keep their enthusiasm for science for years to come and for them to be life long learners.

My Project

This experience will awaken third grade minds to all the possibilities of forces and flight! It will give them a hunger to go further in their science education. It will also allow them to see science all around them. It will give them ideas to conduct their own experiments at home with their mother’s hair blow dryer and a ping pong ball. It will show the students that learning science can be fun. Hopefully this will encourage them to be life long learners and lovers of science. I have been taking third graders to Astro Camp for over ten years, and I have never left with a disappointed third grader.
