My class consists of 3-5 year old Special Education students with varying ability levels. Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Other Health Impairments, Language or Speech Impairment and Developmental Delay make up the class, but their labels do not define them. My students are very inquisitive and creative. Our school is a Title 1 low income school. Students have overcome many obstacles in their education and LOVE learning. Students in my class are special not only to me but to our whole school.
The iPads will be used along with apps to help students increase their knowledge and also aid in communication. The iPads would be used as a daily activity in my classroom, especially in reading. We would use them as a center so each student could interact with them daily.
Using the iPads will help to improve and increase student attention and focus.
You will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
By having iPads, students will be able to focus on increasing their learning in the four major content area. In addition, their interactions with updated technology will increase their literacy and math skills as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
