My Students

I work with students who identify as homeless grades prek - 6th. I work with a team and we do what we can to ensure students in this demographic have no barriers to education as well as help them meet needs after school since there is so much transition.

Assisting this vulnerable population is difficult however with the power of many it can be done!

My Project

Engaging students and their families at home with snacks and educational activities encourages them to be invested in their school education. When parents and students tangibly see advancement it encourages them to do better in school. Some families see so much transition from the beach to a shelter to a homeless encampment to where ever! it can be very difficult to stay focused in school. We want to help them be encouraged to prioritize their education along with the other every day necessities. Thank you for assisting us in this process. It is greatly appreciated.
