This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is in a community where 89% of the students are socioeconomically disadvantaged and 100% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. I am an Instructional Coach who is currently servicing multiple students in multiple grades. My students are between the ages of 5-10 and they are all uniquely different and deserve the opportunity to learn in their own special way.

My students have learned to continue pushing forward despite the hardships that they face every day.

I want to be able to be part of their learning journey and assist them in getting the best education they can receive while in my classroom.

My Project

Working with students from different age groups has opened my eyes to the importance of presentation. Adding color to their school work will allow my students to be more engaged in their work and more excited to learn.

Being able to have my students print out their work will give them a sense of ownership and have them be proud of their process.

Having an accessible color printer will be a great addition to my work day and a great tool to use with my students to keep them engaged and motivated.
