My students need storage for easy access to the materials that help them progress toward grade-level standards in math. In order to access these materials during the lesson, I need a Wood Designs Mobile Bookshelf to store everything.
Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Good Citizens. These rules are what the staff and students of our Middle School follow on a daily basis. The students use "The Golden Way" each and every day.
Over 50% of our student population district-wide is economically disadvantaged.
More than 12% of the population are students with disabilities. More than 700 middle school students come every day ready to learn new things and be inspired. We are bringing in more STEM activities for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year in order to offer a wider range of educational opportunities for our students.
The students of our Middle School are highly dedicated to learning new things each day.
My Project
My students need storage for easy access to the materials that help them progress toward grade-level standards in math. In order to access these materials during the lesson, I need a Wood Designs Mobile Bookshelf to store everything. Studies have shown that manipulatives are a very important part of student success when learning math. Students learn best when given concrete examples before learning more abstract concepts.
Math manipulatives are an integral part of the math curriculum I use, but we don't have the space to store all of them.
I need access to the materials throughout each lesson. With a place to store them next to my instructional area without disrupting the learning environment, this will give my students a much better chance of mastering the skills they need.
I have a very small classroom and this bookshelf will allow the manipulatives to be available without disrupting student work areas.
