Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are resilient and they have proved this day after day. They have inspired me day after day with their drive and work ethic.
My students spent a year and a half learning at home, and have come back on campus and are ready to put in the hard work, and have shown immense growth so far this year.
I can't wait to see where the rest of the year takes them!
My Project
I teach 7th & 8th grade ASB Leadership and my students have expressed interest in digitally designing their posters but our current printer only prints black and white. I would love to be able to help them practice their digital art skills and be able to print their ASB posters in color.
In this digital age, I want to encourage my students to explore different art forms and skills that they can apply to their future and careers they may be interested in, and digital design is definitely going to be a skill they need!
My students always ask "when are we going to use this in the real world?" and this is a skill I would love to help them foster before they enter the workforce. Computers can be tools, not just toys!
