I am currently a 1st grade teacher for an at-risk school in North Carolina. We are trying to create a nature habitat. In order for our habitat to be successful we need to study not only flowers and bugs but trees as well. I am asking for items to help our school learn about trees and how to help our Earth by caring for and planting them. After learning about nature we will be able to actively apply our skills to our nature walk. This nature habitat will provide hands-on lessons for our whole school for years to come while also improving the environment. My desire is to create a love and an awareness of nature so that these students can grow into environmentally conscious adults. Our future is based on our students' knowledge and passions. Help me plant the seed for nature in the hearts of these students by helping us learn about trees.
