My students are the core of our diverse school family. Since our school is a K-8 school, most of our students have been together since kindergarten. This has instilled a strong sense of a family-like community within our building. They enjoy coming to school every day, and most importantly, they enjoy learning. My students love developing new ways to create art. They enjoy using all of the art materials provided to them, and also through exploration using unconventional and sometimes recycled art media.
The lack of storage in my classroom has limited the size of my students' artworks. I am unable to offer them the opportunity to create larger scaled drawings, paintings, and collages because we do not have a designated storage location nor the space to store them safely. These plastic portfolio bags will be used to keep each class' work separate. The fact that they are clear will make it easy for students to see their artwork. It will also keep their work neat, clean, and protected. The narrow width allows us to store them side-by-side without taking up too much space. These are perfect for our classroom.
