Have you ever had the chance to meet someone you admire or feel is extremely talented? Have you ever had the opportunity to talk with this person to see what makes them so impressive and unique? I have.
Some people only dream of meeting their favorite artists, I teach mine.
Am I lucky or what? I get to teach all the best artists I've ever known. I have the unique privilege of seeing their talents grow and shape into their own styles.
My Project
I have the privilege of teaching some of the most artistic students I've ever met. My students exhibit so much talent and I feel they need to be recognized by others. They deserve to have their art work viewed by their peers and members of their community.
Normally Avella's art students have the opportunity to exhibit their work in art galleries but this year will be different.
With art galleries closed and exhibits being placed on pause, I had an idea. An ArTV. I made that word up but I think it would be a perfect name for a tv that showcases the amazing art work by Avella's greatest.
I feel my students need to be recognized for their hard work. Some students do not excel like others in sports or core subjects but they shine bright in creativity. Sometimes students need a pick me up and a way to show they are amazing in their own way. What better way to show their talents than showing what they are capable of to others.
I feel a tv that can be placed anywhere in the school or community would be perfect. The art can be viewed as a slideshow anywhere a tv can be plugged in. It could be on display for viewing in the school cafeteria, community center, town library, or any business or location we can politely con into giving us permission. I can only dream of the places we could exhibit our art work.
