This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our elementary school has 480 students of 95% African American and Latino. Our school is in the largest district of the largest city in our state. Together we are trying to remain in buildings for our education. Face to face is a much better way of learning if we can maintain the protocol.
Our student love to come to school.
I see all students in grades Kindergarten though 5th grade every week, I teach music on a cart. Moving our bodies, gaining coordination and expressing our emotions in music engages our minds and energizes us.
My Project
Donor's Choose has supplied our school with the venue to reach so many generous folks who try to help our educational communities become successful. Today's request is about restocking the printer ink, and markers for our poster boards and signs.
When students come to school and help volunteer setting up for assemblies, concerts, and school events we need supplies to help make our poster signs.
We share our supplies of printing and inks with the students so they can complete the tasks. Just last week, I had students working on a bulletin board in the hallway with markers and printing ideas.
We look forward to having supplies for our creative young imaginations. Thank you for thinking of us.
