Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very special because they are in the migrant program. This program helps them academically and mentally. I support them by guiding them in their every day struggles and also helping them learn new things at the same time. These materials are going to be used for arts and crafts which they'll have a chance to participate in by using their PBIS points. PBIS points are points students earn when they are being safe, respectful, and responsible. Teachers and other staff assign points to students which they can later redeem at our school store to get cool prizes and have an opportunity to do really exciting things. For example, my arts and crafts party where they will have a chance to do all sorts of crafts every other week. All students (TK - 5th grade) will have the opportunity to participate in this activity. These kids will be expanding their sensory skills, their ability to count, and write.
