My students love to learn using hands-on reading, writing, and math materials.
I teach a wonderful group of kindergarten students who come from diverse backgrounds and educational experiences.
I have students with speech, academic, and behavior goals as well as English language learners in my classroom. For many of my students, this is the first time they have been to school or instructed in English.
Some of my kindergarten students begin the year without knowledge of letters, numbers, or how to write their names. They are so eager to learn and quickly gain basic kindergarten skills, such as identifying and writing numbers and letters, counting, and writing their names. My students love to learn using a hands-on approach, where they learn through play. I love to see the excitement of my students when they learn something new!
My Project
I am looking for fun and engaging items for students to make and create during indoor recess this winter when it is too cold to play outside and for rainy spring days.
My students love to create art and are proud to take these projects home.
I found two crafts, make a leprechaun stickers and egg and bunny decorating kits, that are quick and easy crafts my students can do independently. The students can cardboard photo frames and we will add a class picture for the student to take home. The paper will be used for student art projects. The laminator and laminating sheets will be used for art projects the students make and for items such as desk tags, learning games, and bulletin boards. The students will use the alphabet play-doh stampers to learn their letters and make words. The cups will be used during indoor recess to build towers, castles, and other creations. The chair will be used during small group reading. Thank you for helping my students make and create during indoor recess.
