My Students
The our classroom is a group of very creative and enthusiastic children that every day come to school ready to learn, discover and explore.
We are a head start program located in the South Chicago area, we serve children from 3-5 years old.
The majority of the children that we serve come from low income families.
Most of the children in the program are Hispanic and African-American, which many of them are dual language learners, and we also serve children with special needs.
We hope that you can help us support our children to keep creating new ways of expressing themselves.
Thank you.
My Project
By proving the children with a new and bigger easel we can give four children the opportunity to use the easel at the same time rather than just have to wait more time to use it.
They would also have the materials, such as paints, paper and brushes more accessible to them.
Painting is a very important part of our daily routine through paint children learn to communicate their emotions, ideas, feelings, to use their senses, to explore colors, to discover their creativity, to learn about sizes, shapes, patterns and designs.
As you can see painting is a very crucial part of child development.
