My students are creative, critical thinkers who are eager to learn and explore. These amazing 4th graders come to school each and every day and try their very best in all content areas. Many of my students come from low-income households and have to face many difficult hardships at a young age.
Despite their difficult experiences, my students persevere through it all and work so hard in learning everything they can.
As true 21st century learners, my students are able to collaborate, use technology, communicate, be creative, and think critically. My goal as their teacher is to inspire my students to be life-long learners and provide them with the skills to be successful in anything they desire. I am so proud of my students and am so excited for what the future holds for all of them.
My students are very creative, but they do not have very many chances to express themselves through art. Many schools do not have an arts program, so I want to be able to provide my students with the opportunity to be exposed to letting out their artistic sides.
Having regular exposure to the arts increases academic achievement.
These basic art supplies (paint brushes, paint, paint trays, and canvases) will help students along on their budding journey as artists. They will be able to create various images with the use of each of the materials in this project. With these supplies, I will also be able to integrate various art projects with content areas to increase content retention.
Art does not only promote creativity and academic achievement but also helps increase focus, decision making, confidence, develop visual-spatial skills, and perseverance. Each of these skills is essential to art but also to all aspects of life.
