My students need presentation materials, like an easel and colored paper and pencils. In 5th Grade we use a lot of technology but also need to show students how to create hands-on posters.
I greet my students every morning at the door, saying "I believe" and they respond "So, we can achieve" and we get started. I follow a policy to get everyone to try, by quoting a poster, "It's OK not to know, but it's not ok to not try." These are simple things, but I say them from the heart and the students believe!
The students at our school are creative and amazing!
My job is to make sure academics become or stay an important element in their life! I hope to prepare my students for a world packed full of arts and technology through providing them resources to dig deep into all areas. In hopes to keep kids motivated, we try to stay active using free resources like GoNoodle and moving!
My Project
I am lucky enough to work with some amazingly talented, artistic students this year. Unfortunately, our students are not offered an art class, so we try to implement art where we can throughout the subject areas. We have a lot of basic materials but are limited to the level or creativity some students can reach. I am requesting colored papers, cardstock, and an easel for easy presentations of their projects. These materials can be used cross-curricular from math, science, to literacy.
These amazing students add color to my life everyday, I want to add a little color to theirs through their work.
They enjoy creating posters and collaborating with their classmates to create these presentable pieces.
