"Can we read yet?" This is a question I hear at least ten times a day in my third grade classroom. Our school serves around 400 4K-eighth grade students in a small, rural town. We have a tight-knit staff, community, and student body. Everyone really comes together to help the growth of our students. Our goal is to prepare our students for further education by exposing them to as many diverse experiences as possible. Our school is also a Title I building.
In my classroom, we love to do a lot of art projects to help us learn. For example, instead of doing countless math problems to learn a new skill, we will do an art project or coloring sheet to practice skills! I have found that these activities not only increase student engagement but increase conceptual learning!
By donating to our project, you will be helping us continue to let our creativity show, as well as keep us engaged!
This year we have gone through a lot more supplies than anticipated, so we are hoping your donations will bring in more supplies so we can continue to do all these fun projects! A classroom can never have enough markers, crayons, glue sticks, and paint! We use these supplies on a daily basis and we are getting very low!
