Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are ESOL students in Title One elementary school. ESOL means that English is the students' second language for which they are in the process of learning. They get pulled out of the general education classes to get language development. I teach these kindergarten through fifth-grade students reading, writing, listening, and speaking to develop their English skills.

I would love to give them some art supplies that will allow them to express themselves in an artistic manner and learn about their Hispanic cultures!

The tissue paper, aluminum foil and permanent markers would be used to create Mexican folk art. The rocks and acrylic paint markers will be used to create a "Kindness Rocks!" garden.
