My students come from a variety of backgrounds and socio-economic classes. They are motivated to learn and work hard each day.
My students are working on Inquiry Based Learning projects, so there is a lot of self-directed learning, along with cooperative learning opportunities.
This is their last year in elementary school, which means they are the role-models for the rest of the school. They take this role very seriously, which is promising for the future.
We want to thank you for funding our projects!
Time set aside for free drawing and painting offers many benefits to our young people. Art allows students to express themselves, improve their critical thinking skills, and develop their emotional growth.
Because my school does not have a regular art class, bringing art supplies, such as paint, paintbrushes, and oil pastels in to my classroom will be a great resource for students.
I plan on setting aside time each week for students to work on individual art projects that can be related or unrelated to other content areas. I believe this will give my kids a chance to share who they are and show-off their artistic capabilities.
