Artful Expressions - Social Emotional Learning Through Art and Literacy

Help me give my students a class set of art materials such as water colors, oil pastels and tempera paint to positively express themselves as they develop self awareness and self regulation through social emotional learning activities.

My Project

In their first year of school my kindergarteners have transitioned well into the daily routines and learning along with the additional precautions of masking and social distancing to keep our learning space a safe place to learn and grow.

Social Emotional Learning has become increasingly important both in and out of the classroom.

The pandemic has limited our students abilities to socialize and interact with others as closely or as often as we usually would be able to, which has had an impact on important social skills as they enter school.

These books and art supplies will help my students to continue to develop their sense of self and sense of others (social awareness). It will build positive relationships and problem solving skills by integrating social emotional learning, art, and literacy for continued growth and success in school and life.
