Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The children I work with are very active and are constantly investigating the world around them. Finding ways for them to learn through exploration and art is my main goal this school year. My school is located in the largest district in Oklahoma City. I work with an amazing group of teachers who have a passion for helping this community through the arts.
I want my kindergarten students to go home from school every day, proud of what they have learned, and eager to share with their families.
I am excited to start teaching my students through Arts Integration.
My Project
The arts are such a huge part of who we are at our school. I try to make sure my classroom is stocked with items that hit every aspect of arts education. The one place we seem to go through supplies the fastest is the visual art center. I want to make sure I keep this area always stocked with the latest and most popular items the kids love using.
Art encourages children to think, developing skills and confidence as they go.
I am requesting items that will help stock the areas of my classroom that my students feel are lacking. They love using paint sticks, building bricks, and dobbers to make creations. We also need printer ink and laminating sheets for our Arts Integration documentation.
