My classroom is full of energetic kindergartners that love to learn. They love to complete projects and learn about topics. They love creating things with materials. They are proud to put them on display in our room and around the school. My students love to work together to make learning fun. My students come to me from various backgrounds and most come from families with low income and high needs. Our school and classroom provides a place of structure, support, and safety where they can learn and grow.
My Project
These art materials will be used in our classroom to support our literacy and science lessons. Students will gain skills in fine motor skills by using these materials. The watercolor paper will provide a study canvas for their masterpieces. Paint and paint brushes will allow them to create their works with ease by providing them high quality.
These students will use these these materials to create masterpieces that will last.
I named this project "Art to Heal the Heart" because of the heartache I have witnessed when students use paper that is not thick enough for paint. Their project ends up ripping or gets a hole in it. They are sad. I am sad because I do not have access to quality materials for them. This project being funded will help them create wonderful works of art!
