I have twenty-five first graders who are eager to learn. They love to come to school and the school year requires several supplies that will be used. Our school is a Title I elementary school in the California Bay Area. Supplies are in constant need to be replenished and donations from families are limited.
Children thrive with hands-on learning.
All of our students love to learn and I make it my goal to help them absolutely love coming to school each and every day.
Students absolutely LOVE making art! The watercolors would be used throughout the year. New paint sets would allow students to be able to create their artwork without mixed colors or limited paint left in their kits.
Art can be used across the subject areas.
Students would use the watercolors to show understanding of science concepts such as seasons, animals, and weather. The watercolors would also be used for students to make illustrations of their own written narratives. There are so many options for how art can be used in the classroom.
Art is vital in the classroom, and the watercolors would provide our students with opportunities for art throughout the school year.
