Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My kids are determined, bright, and resilient. They face challenges head on and never ever give up. The kids I work with on a daily basis come from a variety of backgrounds. Despite all the challenges they face, they are loving and deserve the best chance at positive skill building they can get! Funding this project will allow them to increase their social emotional skills, build friendships, and set them up for success later on in life beyond the classroom!
My Project
These materials will allow my students to express their emotions though art. A donation to this project will allow students to draw out their feelings and calm themselves down so that they can return to class and be set up for success.
Art therapy is especially beneficial for students that have special needs. These materials will assist them with their self-regulation skills and allow them to utilize art to express how they feel. This will lead to positive behavior in the classroom as well as social skill development. Thank you for considering a donation to this project. My students will be forever grateful.
