Our K-8 school serves students who are a very diverse group of learners. As an arts specialist, I have the privilege of working with all the students in the building. My students are elementary to middle school age who are ardent learners. They represent many different ethnic backgrounds and races. My students seek to learn the skills that will make them strong, independent members of our society. They are curious lovers of information and experiences!
My students represent a diverse group of learners who seek engaging and advanced ways of learning.
I educate students who have different learning needs and unique challenges and require specialized education. My students seek to learn through many mediums. They sometimes require modifications and accommodations to optimize their learning to access the curriculum.
I am using art to help students through this new online learning experience. I hold weekly online art studios and would like to put together art kits for my amazing brave elementary students.
Students use art to express themselves using various mediums during an online Open Arts Studio twice a week.
Students have expressed how it has brought their family closer because everyone can get involved.
We created hand art this week and I had an entire family participate with students from K0-2nd grade and their parents. It was great to see the finished product and the joy it brought to the families. Unfortunately, all children don't have the necessary supplies and that is why I would like to put together art kits for them. I will mail out the packages once we put them all together.
