Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A typical day in my classroom involves students engaging in many group projects that integrate art with what we are learning across all of our academic subjects. This makes our learning fun and exciting everyday!
My students are creative thinkers who are artistic and eager to learn.
They are a part of a first-year STEAM school that invites them to be creative and think like engineers everyday! They take pride in their learning and enjoy demonstrating what they have learned through detailed art projects!
My Project
With the requested pipe cleaners, glitter, glitter glue, brushes, feathers, oil pastels, and wiggle eyes, my students will be able to engage in many different art projects that incorporate their science and social studies curriculum. They will be able to think like engineers and design models and artistic representations, which demonstrate their understanding of what they are learning.
Donations to this project will allow students to step away from routine workbook pages and let them participate in more hands-on learning, These donations will allow them to incorporate art into their daily lessons and activities.
